Are you friendly, confident, and love talking to people? We’re looking for a chatty and approachable individual to join our team as a Retail Assistant at Dragonfly!
This is a part-time position for 3 days per week, with shifts scheduled on a rotating basis—including some weekends. Specific days will vary week to week.
Dragonfly is a well-established and trusted dog care provider, and our store offers a range of dog related products and accessories in a welcoming, professional setting. As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our retail team!

Key Responsibilities:
Serving and advising customers (includes playing with and fussing dogs!!)
Ensuring shelves and freezers are kept filled (this is a physically demanding job)
Picking and packing orders for local collection, deliveries and DHL couriers
Answer the telephone and taking bookings for the clinic and grooming calendar
Use of the POS system
Harness Fittings
Assisting in the other areas of the business
Requirements:
Experience of working within a retail environment is desirable but full training will be given
Experience of owning a dog and canine care is extremely desirable but full training will be given
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and keeping calm under pressure
Friendly and confident attitude when dealing with customers and their dogs - this role involves a lot of communication with customers both face to face and on the phone
Punctual
Willing to learn
Tidy and presentable appearance
