The fur left on the chews helps to eliminate parasites and their eggs in the dog's digestive tract as they enjoy gnawing on them. Dragonfly says “As a beef jerky-style chew with an added natural worming benefit, our Beef Scalp with Fur is a great treat for medium to large size dogs who love a long lasting chew. However, it is important to note that due to the dense nature of the fur, it may not be suitable for younger puppies or small breed dogs.”
